Rain: Don't Go Away!

As the weather changes and the temperature begins to rise, summer is ushered into our lives. We are all happy that we don't have to endure the cold winter months anymore but we aren't completely happy. As we get closer to June and July, the humid air and the beating sun get to us. We all know that it is way too hot. This is the worst time of year because school is so close to being over but yet we aren't there yet. The heat makes our brains stop working and we are stuck in a classroom just wishing that school was out. But yesterday was the best day this week because last night, the wind whooshed into my living room and rain began to pour. At first, I wasn't sure what it was and thought that the world was playing a tick on me, but that was not the case. Fresh rain fell onto the grass and gardens and all over our street. I was so excited that I put on my flip flops and ran out to enjoy the weather. Personally, I would take a rainy day over a sweltering one any day. I ran up and down my driveway who knows how many times and still couldn't get enough. The rain made my day, and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
